Linktrain vs Bento.me

The designer's choice. Beautiful, but USD-priced and limited for commerce.

The short version

Bento.me has the best aesthetic of any link-in-bio tool — clean, modern, very designer-friendly. It's positioned more as a personal homepage than a bio link, with multi-section layouts and embedded content. For designers and freelancers building a portfolio surface, Bento is excellent. For Indian small businesses, the USD pricing and lack of commerce integrations make it the wrong choice.

Pick Bento.me if…

  • You're a designer, illustrator, or visual creator who wants a portfolio-style page
  • You want multiple page sections (about, work, contact) instead of just a list of links
  • Aesthetic quality is your top priority and you don't mind USD pricing

Pick Linktrain if…

  • You sell something (products, services) and need the page to drive WhatsApp/Insta DMs
  • You're price-sensitive and want INR billing
  • You want analytics that go beyond view counts
  • You're a small business owner, not a portfolio-building creative

Bento looks gorgeous but my customers don't care about typography — they want to find my WhatsApp fast. Linktrain's simpler list works better for actually selling.

Common questions

Can I make my Linktrain page look like Bento?
We don't yet support multi-section portfolio layouts. For a single-column bio link with clean design and custom fonts, Linktrain Pro looks polished. For a true portfolio site, Bento or Carrd is the right tool.
Is Bento really that much prettier?
Marginally, on the default themes. Once you pick a Linktrain Pro theme + custom font, the visual gap closes substantially. The honest answer is: Bento has set the visual bar, and we're catching up.
What if I want both — a portfolio AND commerce?
That's a real gap in the market. Today no single tool does both well at a sensible price. Most creators we know use Bento for portfolio + a separate WhatsApp Business for commerce, or use Linktrain for commerce + Instagram itself for portfolio (most posts are portfolio anyway).
